What We Believe
About the Bible - The bible is God's revealed word to his people, written by men who were divinely inspired by God's Holy Spirit. It is completely true, with no error. It reveals the standard by which God judges sin and the principles by which we can live an abundant life.
About God - We believe that there is one and only one, living and true God. He is the Creator and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. In the unity of the God-head there are three persons; The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, equal in every aspect, and all working uniquely to bring about man's redemption.
About Salvation - We are saved entirely by God's grace. We are not, and cannot be saved by our own good works. It was the death of Jesus Christ on the cross that made possible our redemption. His death made full atonement for our sin. When we accept this great, free gift of God, by faith, we then enter into a personal relationship with Him.
About the Church - It is a congregation of baptized believers, brought together by their like-minded faith, observing the ordinances of Christ and exercising the gifts God has given them. The scriptural leaders of the church are Pastors and Deacons.
About Baptism and the Lord's Supper - Christian baptism is the immersion of the believer in water, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that symbolizes outwardly, the change in that person's life that has already taken place internally. Baptism is a pre-requisit for church membership. The Lord's Supper is a special remembrance by believers of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. The bread and juice are symbolic of the body and blood of Jesus Christ. The Lord's Supper is always preceded by a self-examination of our worthiness to participate in such a solemn occasion.
About Judgement - Those who choose not to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior will face a day of judgement by God Himself and will be condemned to spend eternity in hell with Satan.
